We crave to be seen, loved and admired, but we hide in plain sight, with a chronic fear of exposure, sabotaging anything that touches our vulnerability.Chula J Goonewardene MBACP
We crave to be heard and have connection, because on many levels we weren’t, in our most desperately painful, lost and confusing moments.
We will eventually find all that we have ever needed, in deep and meaningful ways, but we have to do ‘the work’ first.
Once we ‘make a friend of horror’ and can live beside our ‘heart of darkness’ without our avoidant defences, coping strategies and addictive distraction…we can embrace our truth, to love ourselves and and allow love in.
